Local craft workshops are held at Pine & Pigment, Pinspiration, AR Workshop (6 locations in Georgia), Make + Do, the beehive, and Custom Crafts by You. Also, The Essentials Makery is a DIY green home studio. The Homestead Atlanta offers topics such as permaculture, blacksmithing, herbal medicine, foraging, woodworking, organics gardening, canning, fermentation, fiber arts, brewing & winemaking, and so much more. Board & Brush is all about DIY wood signs, laughs, and drinks with the girls (or family).

? Wine Clubs & Workshops: Winos and inquisitive minds would enjoy discovering wine from the old and new world. Intermediate tastings are held around the city, and the highly recommended wine boutiques are Wine Shoe and Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room. The first Wednesday (or Sunday) of the month Wine Shoe hosts a VIP Club Wine Tasting during an allotted window. They too host a popular Wine 101 – Afternoon (or evening) workshop. The OTP Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room hosts a number of beginner events led by an expert. The boutique is new and lavish, perfect for young, single professionals and young couples or mature. Fermented in Alpharetta wine club is called The Underground Wine Society, this members only club hosts exclusive access to tastings and events.
? Fitness Studios: The perfect spot is Flywheel in Buckhead, this sleek studio holds barre and spinning classes. The classes are full of vibrant, fit and new beginnings adults. You can find a reliability partner here or a date, it’s also the perfect place for singles looking to mingle.
? Fitness Clubs: Get your run on and join Lululemon running club at Shops around Lenox held every Tuesday night for an hour. Lululemon x Livable Buckhead run club runs 3 miles. Athleta Lenox Square and Atlantic Station hosts in-store fitness classes with instructors based in nearby studios, they too provide event attendants with promotions on gear . Drop-in for introductory and intermediate barre classes, yoga, trap cardio, zumba, and more. The instructors from these studios provide first-time experience offers, ask a gal pal to join you for your first-time.
? Book Clubs: Atlanta Girly Book Club is a sharp thinking, creative crew gathering once a month to share and exchange ideas and plots of an assigned book. The genres range is across the spectrum along with the attendees at this inspiring club.
? Cooking Classes: Sur la Table is my go-to cooking place, but there are many places to explore including The Learning Kitchen a downtown destination in the hip Edgewood community.
? Meetup.com: There are hundreds of interested based groups to join in the Metro Atlanta. Many are active, and the site allows you to filter your likes.
? Eatwith: A way to join neighbors and people around the city in their personal habitat or a restaurant hosted chef event. Culinary lovers host in the home to share the experience and meet and greet, and culinary professionals commonly hold a pop-up or demo.

Learn the Community
? Volunteer: The first opportunity that comes to mind is The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA). It’s an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Atlanta Women’s Club, a group of women coming together once a month, pledging allegiance to the country, enjoying each other’s company while discussing the needs of the community. The home is the Wimbish House, the lovely headquarters it is affectionately known as the “Old Lady of Peachtree.” The newest version of the all women’s local club scene is the Atlanta Social Club. It’s story is described as three pillars of —Happy, Healthy, Helping—encapsulating the mission to help connect the diverse, motivated woman in this amazing city through social, fitness, and charitable events and endeavors.

? Dog Parks: Unleash your furry friend and meet a dog owner at a dog park such as Atlantic Station’s located to the left of The Atlantic condominiums on 17th Street. Fetch Park & Ice House is a dog park with a bar along the BeltLine that also hosts singles events.
? Nextdoor.com: Join this neighbors only website and announce your presence and invite the community to your party. You can host a casual gathering such as BYOB, bottle share party, porch party, or traditional party. Also, you can discover happenings in your area.
? Porch Parties: The Fourth Ward Alliance and other community organizations announces homes hosting parties for the month. These parties are usually RSVP only and open to the public.
? Continuing Education: Not only do you get personal development but you can meet like-minded professionals to network with and possibly meet a new pal. I’ve attended Emory Continuing Education in the past and enjoyed the experience. It was a full class with a lot of commentary and opportunity to converse.
? Yelp: Yelp is a crowd-sourced review forum that also hosts events for elite and non-elite yelpers. Multiple times per month Yelp Atlanta & OTP hosts free events to the public that includes complimentary drinks, food, and games. There are GNO events and mixed-gender events.
