Are you ready for 2016 Spring Colors? As you may know, Pantone released two colors of the year for 2016 — it’s the first time they’ve ever done that —the chosen colors are Rose Quartz and Serenity. Pantone describes this year’s choices as such:
“Joined together Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
I’m sure there’s a lot of us working on the balance of wellness, order, and peace in our lives. This color combination may help. For me, it’s important for colors to look good on my deep melanin (women of color, can I get an Amen). Surprisingly, these sheer colors coordinate well with my skin tone. Neither color outshines the other, and they do work in harmony.
I’ve found twelve great Pantone inspired makeup products that will have you looking chic this Spring. Some of the items may be out of your normal day to day products, such as NYX pink mascara or their blue lipstick, but they’re worth a try. If you’ve been loving any of the purple lipsticks that have been buzzing for awhile (ahem, Mac Cyber), then you seriously need to try this beautiful shade of blue.
